La Pitarra is a board game similar to chess and
backgammon originally played by the Otomí Natives of Querétaro
Game modes:
Single Player: Test your skills against the computer (AI), with 3 difficulty levels to master
Pass n Play: Play with friends and family in a pass and play fashion
How To Play
In the beginning each player will be given 12 tokens
Each player takes turn to select a piece, and choose where the token will be placed
When one of the players aligns 3 consecutive tokens in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) which is known as a tertiary, he/she must take one token away from the opponent.
If there are multiple tertiary as a result of moving a chip, only one chip can be taken away
Once the players put all the chips on the board, the players start to move their chips in the available spots with the intent of forming a tertiary.
The chips can only be moved in adjacent spots are available, no jumping is allowed.
If one of the players is unable to move any of his/her chips then the opposing player makes the next move
The game continues until one of the players has less than three chips left, where he/she loses the game
